Whether it’s our cars or one that you’ve hired from Discover Car Hire, you know what we Finns are like. You need to ensure that your car is clean and that it feels both hygienic and sanitary. Today, we’ll be looking at how to clean your car. All over!

The Outside

The outside of your car is one of the easiest parts to clean, but it’s also one of the easiest things to get wrong. Getting it wrong can ruin your car, and it might even cause you to lose some more money if it’s a hire car.

Make sure that you only use a soft sponge. Anything rougher than this, and the paintwork could be damaged. And that’s the last thing you want.

To get it clean simply use some warm soapy water, and your soft sponge, and make sure to get rid of every piece of dirt and grime. In some places, you might need to scrub a bit harder, or just use a little bit more of the soapy water.

The Tyres

The tyres are somewhere you can afford to be a little bit rougher. With these, making a few scratch marks isn’t going to matter too much. But just like the outside, you should also be using soapy water when you clean them.

The stains on tyres can be very tough. And getting rid of them will require you to put in a little bit of welly. Make sure to get all the little curves and crevices. Elbow grease and lots of soap are the secret ingredients to clean tyres.

The Inside

Cleaning up the inside of the car is arguably the most important part. Yes, it’s nice to have the outside looking nice. But you also need to consider the fact that the inside is where you’ll be spending most of your time.

If it’s filled with dirt, this can be very bad for your health.

Firstly, you’ll want to get rid of any rubbish. And then hoover up all of the crumbs. Once that’s done, it’s probably wise to use a spray to clean the seats.

The annoying places

Every car has those places that usual cleaning equipment simply can’t get to. For example to edges of the window, and in the glove box.

There’s no right or wrong way to clean those places, so you might need to get a bit creative. And use your imagination. For example, you might want to use an old toothbrush to get to the hard to reach spots.

At the end of the day, as long as these things get clean, it doesn’t matter how you do it. Some of you reading this might have some cool tips and tricks.
