An arrest has been made after a Boston nurse’s vehicle was stolen from her driveway while she was sleeping.Molly MacKay, a nurse practitioner, has been working at the Boston Hope COVID-19 field hospital inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center during the coronavirus pandemic.MacKay said she parked her 2019 Mazda CX-5 at about 5 p.m. Saturday in the driveway of her home near the Neighborhood House Charter School in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.She noticed that her vehicle was missing from the driveway at about 10 a.m. Sunday, and reported it stolen to the Boston Police Department just over an hour later.Police confirmed Monday that an arrest was made, identifying the suspect as 31-year-old Troy Handy, of Boston. One person was taken into custody after a brief vehicle pursuit in Tarrant.The Tarrant Police Department says officers were attempting a traffic stop, when a person drove away this afternoon.The chase went into Birmingham City limits, until it ended in the Inglenook area.Tarrant Police, along with Birmingham Police, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and STAR 1 were searching for the person who ran away after stopping the vehicle.Law enforcement officers were able to find the person and make the arrest.No one was hurt.It’s wasn’t revealed what prompted the traffic stop and the investigation continues.
