‘Your Brake Fluid Needs To Be Changed’
A less trustworthy mechanic might tell you that you need to flush your brake fluid based on its color or smell, said Laura Gonzalez, marketing manager of AutoNation Volkswagen Spokane.
“Sometimes they might be right, but a lot of the time they are just trying to milk you for extra money for unnecessary work,” Gonzalez said.
Brake fluid typically needs to be changed only every two to three years, added Lauren Fix, The Car Coach.
