Boston nurse says her vehicle was stolen while she was sleeping

A Boston nurse tells NewsCenter 5 that her vehicle was stolen from her own driveway while she was sleeping.Molly MacKay, a nurse practitioner, has been working at the Boston Hope COVID-19 field hospital inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center during the coronavirus pandemic.MacKay said she parked her 2019 Mazda CX5 at about 5 p.m. Saturday in the driveway of her 155 King St. home, which is located in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.She noticed that her vehicle was missing from the driveway at about 10 a.m. Sunday, and reported it stolen to the Boston Police Department just over an hour later.MacKay said her N95 masks, respirators and other personal protective equipment were inside the vehicle when it was stolen. “You think at a time that we should be coming together, to think people are still doing things like this to each other is really disheartening; you feel really violated.” MacKay … Read More

Fatal vehicle crash reported in Spartanburg – News – GoUpstate

A Moore woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 221 about one mile north of Spartanburg.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the deceased as 18-year-old Kurshay Jackson of Daffodil Circle.

Trooper Joe Hovis said the crash occurred at 11:24 a.m. on Highway 221.

The driver of a 2013 BMW was traveling northbound on Highway 22. Jackson was driving a 2007 Toyota vehicle southbound on Highway 221 when she crossed left of the center line and was struck by the BMW.

Hovis said there were three passengers in the Toyota including a 1-year-old, 8-year-old and 9-year-old. They were restrained during the crash and suffered injuries and were taken to Spartanburg Medical Center for treatment.
